Wide ribs create a unique crown for this loose-fitting beanie
ABOUT THE PATTERN
The Zinc Beanie is knit with worsted weight yarn. I recommend using a solid, tonal, or gradually fading yarn (vs. hand painted or speckled) to ensure that the subtle textural design remains visible.
Knit and purl, decreasing (knitwise and purlwise), working small circumferences in the round with magic loop (or method of choice). Instructions are written.

SHOPKEEPER’S NOTES
For fun, I also knit this pattern in a super springy, machine washable, wool/acrylic blend in DK weight with US 6 needles. I didn’t make any other alterations to the pattern, and it worked beautifully, resulting in a tighter-fitting beanie, which some people may prefer.
