Collection: A la Mondrian Series

SERIES INSPIRATION
It was my father who suggested the name for this series. When I showed him my first pillow knit in this style, he said, "Oh! That reminds me of a Mondrian". Piet Mondrian was a Dutch pioneer of abstract art, who developed a signature style he called Neo-Plasticism, which is characterized by colored squares and rectangles within a grid of black vertical and horizontal lines. I added the "a la" to the title, to reflect similarity versus imitation, as my designs differ in their stripes to Mondrian's colorblocked approach.
