The Cocoknits Method brings together a distinct system for knitting top-down, seamless sweaters with streamlined designs that women will actually wear… and have the time to knit.

Cocoknits Sweater Workshop is Julie Weisenberger's renowned in-person workshop, only in print, which includes eight (8) ready-to-knit Cocoknits designs in addition to her detailed explanation of the Cocoknits Method for knitting simple yet stylish, seamless, top-down sweaters.

Julie's 30+ years of knitting, designing, and teaching experience led her to develop the Cocoknits Method, which is a system of tracking your knitting progress in an easy-to-follow customized worksheet. Unlike most traditional patterns that create flat shapes, the tailored style of construction in these patterns creates truly three-dimensional garments that impart a great fit upon completion.

All designs are worked from the neckline down, so once the neck and yokes are established, the knitter can cruise through the body of a sweater without worrying about counting or losing their place in the pattern. As with all top-down sweaters, Cocoknits sweaters may be tried on as they're knit, so knitters can make adjustments easily and as necessary to ensure the perfect, custom fit.

In addition to eight patterns, Julie dedicates a section of the book to choosing the right patterns for your figure with consideration for colorwork, textured stitches, and hemlines so that every component works in concert to create the silhouette that's just right for you!

THESE 8 PATTERNS ARE EXCLUSIVE to the book (not sold separately)

EMMA (version A) – The open neckline and waist shaping of Emma prevent it from becoming too boxy, despite its thickness. This fun, beginner project could easily be adapted to include a cable down the front or color-blocking on the sleeves or body.

EMMA (version B) – The boatneck version of Emma will become your go-to sweatshirt-style pullover when the temperatures drop.

EMMA (version C) – The Emma cardigan is a quick-to-knit introduction to the Cocoknits Method and a great sweater to bundle up on cold days. The long line of rib running down the sleeves works to slim the sleeve silhouette, and the fabric-lined pockets prevent bulk in the hip area. Experiment with color and the perfect length for both the sleeves and the body.

LIZZIE – The long points hanging down in the front of this light and airy throw-on-over-everything cardigan breaks up the horizontal bottom edge, making it universally flattering.

MOLLY (versions A & B) – The Molly pullovers are a sophisticated take on a basic sweatshirt. The simplicity of the pattern allows a beautiful yarn to take center stage. Version A features contrast color elbow “patches”, while version B has a high-low hem.

TALLULAH – Tallulah looks like a garter-stitch cardigan, but its construction is more like a wrap with armholes

TILDA – This drop-shoulder T-shirt is a great project for practicing picking up the stitches along the back shoulders to knit each front.

Shopkeeper's Notes

Julie's in-person & virtual workshops are always a hit with knitters! This book is essentially her workshop in print form. It is not just a collection of patterns. It's a METHOD for knitting top-down seamless sweaters.
